This week is my “But I can’t…” Week. I am proving to myself that all the things I always say I can’t do with makeup (I can’t wear that color. I can’t do that technique. Etc), I can actually do! This one is a double whammy: “I can’t wear blues,” and “I can’t line my lower waterline with a dark color.”
I have always tended toward warm colors. They look best on me, it’s true. But that doesn’t mean other colors don’t also look great in their own way. And honestly, how much of it is what I can’t do, and how much of it is I just haven’t learned how to do it right for me personally? Continue reading
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin
Okay, so I discovered a Not Quite Dupe this week I thought I would share.
I love my Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin–it has a goldish, rosey finish to it that is a fabulous underlay for many looks. I also happen to own the UD eyeshadow Sin, which I use all the time, sometimes even as a face contouring highlighter. So what a treat to discover that my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yogurt is nearly identical in shade. So much so that I almost could not tell them apart.

Now, I call this a NQD for two reasons. One, the NYX Yogurt is definitely roseier/pinkier than Sin. But also because I find that the NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils do crease on their own if not set with a shadow on top. But since I always lay eyeshadow on top of my UD Primer as well, it’s kind of the same thing, isn’t it? Sort of? Not quite. Hence the NQD designation.
